Here are some answers to your most frequently asked questions about our built-in central vacuum systems.
What maintenance is required?
There is very little maintenance with a BEAM system, just regularly empty the dirt bin typically 2-3 times per year. We also recommend the filter on the vacuum unit is replaced every 5 years to ensure your system works efficiently. You can do this easily yourself, or a service call can be arranged.
What happens if the ductwork gets obstructed?
Obstructions rarely occur because the cleaning wands are 28mm diameter and the ducting which runs to the power unit is 50mm diameter. The system is also designed to prevent any large items entering the ductwork. However, if an obstruction does occur it can be easily cleared - our customer service team can talk this over the phone with you.
Can my existing Beam system be upgraded to the new retractable hose?
Unfortunately it is not possible to upgrade existing BEAM systems to use a retractable hose as a different ducting layout is required to store the hose in the wall.
What's the guarantee?
All Beam Central Vacuum Systems carry a two year product warranty.
