Welding Solutions
Welding fumes are classed as a carcinogen, meaning there is no safe limit to exposure. Solutions must be put in place for all welding, including outdoor work and work of short duration.
Local Exhaust Ventilation (LEV)
BEAM have extensive experience providing Local Exhaust Ventilation (LEV) systems for extraction of welding fume at source, ranging from individual workstations to factory wide installations.
- 1m - 9m weld fume extraction arms
- Suitable for single or multi-operator
- Demand controlled available
Portable Extract Units
In some working environments, it may not be practical to install fixed extraction arms. A further solution could be Portable Fume Extraction, comprising of extract arm and integrated filtration unit, designed to provide weld fume extraction throughout a workshop floor.
- Can be used for MIG and TIG welding
- Allows for flexibility
- Easy to install
On-Torch Extraction
This consists of a proprietary welding gun with integrated suction nozzle at the tip. This system can be beneficial where no other extract solution can be deployed due to restrictions within the location where the work is carried out.
- Cost effective solution
- Greater mobility and flexibility
- Multi-operator central system available
Downdraught Extraction Benches
Tasks can be carried out on the bench work top which is constructed from perforated 2mm HD steel plate. Units feature integrated fans and filters which provide suction to remove fumes from the process with the cleaned filtered air then returned to the workshop.
- Available in a range of sizes
- Easy to install
- Heavy duty carbon filters
Extraction Enclosures at Robot Cells
Robotic welding cells completely remove the operators from harm. BEAM can advise on suitable extract systems, including enclosures, extract capacity, and offer complete solutions comprising the design, supply, installation and validation of the equipment.
