Built in Vacuum with Retractable Hose Management System for new build, Co. Antrim

Mr & Mrs Grant always dreamed of building a family home in which to bring up their 3 children. The couple had their eyes set on creating a comfortable family home in Ballinderry, Co. Antrim and what started as a dream, quickly became a reality.

The couple had seen Beam Central Vacuum Systems installed in the homes of family and friends and loved the idea of having a built in system that was low maintenance and very easy to use.

The couple attended Self Build Live at the Titanic Exhibition Centre in Belfast a month later where they visited the Beam stand to see the system in action.

The family have recently moved into their new build home. 

The house required 2 wall inlets downstairs and 1 wall inlet upstairs with a 12m hose built into the wall behind each wall inlet. All 3 inlets are located in the hallway and landing areas and the retractable hose easily reaches every room .

The Grant’s simply open the wall inlet, pull out the length of hose required and attach the telescopic wand and appropriate cleaning tool to start vacuuming. When finished, the attachments are disconnected, and the hose is retracted back into the wall within seconds.

The house is beautifully designed with white, cream and gold tones throughout. The Beam Vacuum inlets are discreet, blending into the light coloured walls.

The Beam Central Vacuum comes with many attachments to clean all floor types and all those hard-to-reach places. The system is used to vacuum tiled floors, carpets and upholstery – perfect for quickly cleaning up after the kids! The added feature of the vacpan in the kickboard of the kitchen makes for effortless cleaning at the flick of a switch.

A major benefit the Grant’s found was that there is no storage needed for the hose. With limited space in the utility cupboard, they wanted to utilise the space for the Beam Vacuum power unit, making it easy to empty the bin 2-3 times a year.

A major benefit of a Beam Central Vacuum system is that all the dust and dirt is taken directly out of all living spaces so there is no dirty air to breathe. Even better, as the vacuum motor is located away from the living areas, vacuuming can take place even when the kids are asleep – what a fantastic solution for a busy household.
