Heat Recovery Ventilation System for Offices

Combined Facilities Management based in Mid Ulster were building a new 10,000 sq. ft commercial office building and wanted to install mechanical ventilation with heat recovery and a central vacuum system for both energy savings and cleaning convenience.

The building would accommodate up to 50 office staff and comprise of large open plan office areas, canteen and cooking facilities, separate meeting rooms and a large conferencing facility. The company were keen to provide a clean and fresh working environment for staff and visitors.

Due to the heavy footfall expected within the building, the company also required a vacuuming solution that would be unintrusive to the working environment when it came to noise, convenience and performance. The business wanted clean air and comfort for staff, and systems that would be cost effective and energy efficient.

BEAM Vacuum & Ventilation recognised the complexities of balancing a low energy ventilation solution with the need for a low noise cost effective system. An Axco Suxess 400T unit was installed along with 40 supply and extract valves. These compact units have low sound levels and very high efficiency which display the best overall technical data on the market.

A Central Vacuum System from BEAM was also installed to cater for daily low noise vacuuming. A BEAM Alliance 700TC unit was fitted with 10 inlets strategically distributed throughout the building which was sufficient to service all areas with no loss of power.

A comfortable working environment has been created, with clean fresh air constantly in circulation throughout all areas of the building, as well as a clean indoor air environment. The heat recovery system will help provide energy savings due to reduced bills from energy efficiency. The office also benefits from fast, efficient, convenient low noise vacuuming which again contributes to reduced cleaning costs.
