I have known and worked with Beam throughout my career and had no hesitation to contact them for their advice on the weld fume extraction. With their experience, we developed a solution that is bespoke to our needs and we are very happy with the outcome.”

A Cleaner, Healthier Workspace for Staff

In preparation for increased production and a new efficient product flow through the factory, Bespra approached BEAM to review their welding processes and advise on a welding fume extract solution that would suit their needs to provide a cleaner and healthier workspace for their skilled production staff.

Beam engineers recommended 12 No. 7m double-articulated LEV extract arms which would be provided to cover the welding bays.

The unique design of the Beam welding arms allows for complete versatility to provide LEV extraction from bench-mounted components through to substantial floor-standing sub-assemblies.

Energy efficienct welding fume extract system

Efficiency and consistency are key pillars to Bespra’s philosophy, and they requested that this should be incorporated into the welding fume extract system.

Beam’s solution was to fit variable speed drives to the fans controlled by pressure sensors. This ensures the fan speed and power consumption will match the demand of the users for the most energy-efficient solution.

The challenge for this installation was that it had to be carried out without stopping our production. Beam’s engineers delivered on a safe and on-time installation with minimal disruption. They resolved any issues we had and provided a comprehensive commissioning pack for a complete end to end service”
